The correct use of the spring
Please avoid the following improper use
1. Use more than the maximum amount of compression
(300,000-return conditions, the use of connectors for long-lasting use) The pressure causes further damage, and close to the long-term use, the spring wire will gradually become dense, because the spring constant becomes higher and the load curve will be higher. , Nearly high stress causes the spring to break, please do not use more than 300,000 times. 2. Alternate or use
When the spring is used, the spring is distorted by the force so that the inner ring spring is inserted into the outer ring (or the outer ring is inserted into the inner ring) to cause breakage.
3. The use of spring series
When used in series, the spring bends and extends beyond the length of the guide pin or counterbore, thereby causing a breakage of the same cause, and a weaker load due to a slight difference in the spring's own load to withstand greater breakage of the compression face.
4. Use without preload
Springs are distorted due to gaps in the springs caused by up and down vibrations. If there is preloading, the springs are relatively stable.
5. The spring is used horizontally
When the spring is used horizontally, it will cause the guide pin and the spring to wear and break.
6. About spring inner diameter and guide pin
If the gap between the guide pin and the guide pin is too small, it will cause collision abrasion of the inner diameter, and the wear part thereof is the cause of the spring breaking; conversely, if the clearance is too large, the spring will be distorted and fractured, and the optimum between the inner diameter of the spring is about -1.0 mm. For springs with long free length (free length/outer diameter greater than 4), please use segment steps or guide pins to avoid collision with guide pins when the spring body is twisted.
7. No spring-guided use
If it is used without spring guide, it is easy to cause the distortion of the spring bottom and the body. The local high pressure of the twisted part is the cause of the spring break. Please use the inner diameter guide pin or outer diameter guide and other devices. .
8. When the flatness of the mounting surface is poor
When the parallelism of the assembly surface is poor, the spring will be distorted, high pressure fracture will occur locally, and the spring will be distorted when the parallelism is bad, and over 300,000 cycles will cause the spring to break. 9. Spring Outer Diameter and Counterbored Hole
If the countersunk head and the spring clearance head are too small, the force of the outer expansion and the countersinking hole friction will be concentrated and broken due to the compression of the spring. The preferred countersink diameter is +1.5 mm. Use a countersunk hole for longer springs.
10. When the guide pin length and countersink depth are short
If the guide pin is too short, it will cause the guide pin head and the spring to wear and break. The ideal length of the guide pin is set to more than 1/2 of the length of the spring, and please invert the chamfer of C3.
11. When debris foreign matter is used
Inclusion of foreign matter will cause no effect on the effective roll part. Only the other parts of the roll will be compressed. The actual number of rolls will become smaller and cause high stress and fracture near the surface. Do not insert foreign objects into the spring.
