What are compression springs?

- Jun 08, 2018 -

Compression springs are helical springs that withstand pressure. The material used is usually circular in cross-section. It is also available in rectangular and multi-stranded steel coils. The springs are generally of equal pitch. The shape of the compression springs is: Cylindrical, conical, convex and concave, and a small amount of non-circular, etc., there is a certain gap between the coil and the coil of the compression spring. When subjected to an external load, the spring shrinks and deforms and stores deformation energy.
